Good season for Voyager fans

Jordioh from from Stockwell, 17th June, 2004

If you are a specific Voyager fan, I recomend to rent disc 1 to 4 ... maybe 5 (the interview of the actress playing Captain Janeway is quite cool, other interviews but I found other features quite boring - NO EPISODE at all on this disc !!) but don't bother with disc 6 (only 2 episodes from the original series and trailers for deep space 9)

A fair start

Stephen Dawson from London, 26th May, 2004

Voyager initially struggled to find its feet, and this short (15 episode) series 1 is a mixed bag of good and bad episodes. Despite an over-arching focus for the stories of Voyager being 70,000 light years from Earth, relatively little is made of the crew's reactions to their almost hopeless situation. Discs 1 to 4 carry the 15 episodes; disc 5 has, rather bizarrely, two episodes from The Original Series ('Arena' and 'The City on the Edge of Forever'); and Disc 6 is a range of not terribly inspiring extra features. However, the series is a good base for the better seasons to come.

It's really a 4 disk set

A Customer from Berkshire, 17th July, 2004

Great disk set, but disks 5 and 6 are awful.Disk six has nothing to do with the Voyager series, old original Star Trek and trailers.

Excellent Series! A1

A Customer from WALES, 11th July, 2004

Voyager is a wonderful series. The DVD box set gave me an opportunity to go back and see the first series again, which I had not seen in a long time.
The extras are amazing, Kate Mulgrew comes across as a wonderful person. You will find that she was a much better choice for captain than the original actress chosen. So check out the extra features to see what I am talking about.
Also amongst the features is one of the Star Trek experience in Las Vegas, worth watching if you can't make it there in person!!!

Only one fault

A Customer from Preston, 11th June, 2008

I love all Star Trek and cannot fault the episodes themselves. My only complaint is that one has to watch the whole of the Warning about copyright every time one returns to the DVD - it's too long, and so is the lead in to which ever episode one wants to watch.
