A Classic without a doubt

A Customer from Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, 15th June, 2005

What can anyone say about this timeless classic. The first time I saw this film was on British television in the early 80's. Enjoyed watching it then all those years ago and enjoyed it again. Although the story has a lost and found element to it which most of the Bollywood Movies did in the 70's and 80's. This remains a movie that how many times you see it, it's always fresh. Parveen Babi look amazing in it. My favourite bit is when the Big B is playing the part of the priest. The dialogue is fantastic. The songs are great. This movie remains up there with the classics.

You would queue in the rain

Remy1 from WEST MIDLANDS, 18th January, 2006

A super hit when released. All the main essential formula bits....long lost love....reunions...tragedy and comedy.

Has the famous Purdha hai Purdha song that is sheer genius for music, lyrics and performance by one of the leads. You would queue in the rain just for that.

Classic 70s Bollywood

A Customer from Wolverhampton, 11th January, 2006

Excellent classic, bringing back plenty of nostalgic memories when I first saw this back in the 80s on British TV. Great songs, funny, great acting (if you get past the 70s way of doing things)- a definite recommendations for those that remember this genre.

Funny film

A Customer from London, 26th December, 2008

This is only good because of Amitabh Bachchan. I believe this film is going to be done again. I would say don't bother. The three brothers are funny but it is weak on editing. Too long and very obvious.

What a great bollywood classic? Melodramatic storyline, but excellent songs and famous actors. Very fun to watch.
