Book Of Revelation is a story of sex, betrayal, and obsession. Daniel (Tom Long) is a successful dancer and, along with his partner and lover Bridget (Anna Torv), the toast of the dance world. But Tom is arrogant, and his ego is often his biggest stumbling block to greatness, or so claims his long time mentor and artistic director Isabel (Greta Scacchi)...

Walking down an alley he is met by three cloaked and hooded women and is soon sedated and bundled into a van only to wake up in a deserted warehouse, chained to the floor. Tom is now the puppet and sexual toy of his captors. Twelve days later he is discarded...

Haunted by the images of his sexual tormentors, Tom becomes obsessed with erotic conquest, drugs and violence - whatever the personal and social cost.

Ridiculous Plot Extremely Irritating Direction

Shaan from from Hayes, 14th July, 2008

honestly this was such a torturous start to my membership here.. I am not sure where did the other reviews dissapear ?? I do remember reading reviews/ratings before renting this crap...hmm ...& i dunno how i thot that they sounded promisin...newayz this was indeed one of the worst movies I hav seen in long time...whoeva saw it or is still going to see no matter what.. don't get me wrong nd think I didnt like the explicit sex scenes in it...it is not about them they were ok'ish..only if was suppose to be a porn movie I wouldn't hav mind it..but its not even close to that coz they are far more entertaining..I dont even know which part to criticize but basically the whole thing was terible..I seriously believe the director needs to go bak to learn some basics... this cant even be regarded as a waste of time..its worse than that!! if ur a normal human being with a healthy state of mind..I bet u wil regret watchin it so very much..so just avoid it!

Sex Object

FrankIV from , 19th October, 2008

I'm getting really fed up with people who hire out of the way films which attempt to be different and thought provoking, but then don't make the effort to look beyond their own prejudices and emotional reactions and end up rubbishing them with meaningless shouts of bilge and tripe, or, in this case, crap and toss. This is certainly no classic, but it isn't crap or toss either. It deals with a young male dancer in an Australian company who is kidnapped, held captive for twelve days and sexually abused by three masked women. It is interestingly structured: at first, we see the dancer in his work and home enviroments, then, when he disappears, we see how these environments function without him. Upon his return, dumped unceremoniously from a van on waste ground, we see his disorientation, and then, in a series of flashbacks, what happened to him. The rest of the film concerns his attempts to come to terms in a variety of ways with his experiences. The women's stated motives are simply pleasure and curiosity - he has been objectified, and, although the film doesn't make heavy weather of this, there is clearly a feminist undercurrent. I thought it at least different and interesting, and couldn't believe the blank negativity of the previous reviews which, despite the protestations otherwise, seem to me to reflect disapproval of the contents - narrow minds at work.

Load of toss

A Customer from Teddington, 8th August, 2008

I'm sure this film was made for the satisfaction of some seedy old producers. Boring, trivial, unconvincing and with a baffling pseudo-profound ending. I really wish I hadn't bothered.

Oh dear, utter utter tosh of the highest order.

A Customer from Lichfield, 16th November, 2009

The only 'revelation' here is just how bad a movie this truly is. If it was 'intelligent' i'd say the plot was 'impenetrable' - but it isn't intelligent, it's just very very VERY bad and actually seems to have no plot whatsoever. So, a pretty boy dancer (with zero acting skills) somehow vanishes, only to re-appear enigmatically 12 or so days later, having been kidnapped and 'enjoyed' by a trio of be-masked nun-a-likes. Honestly, that's about all i could understand because from there it just lurches from scene to scene with absolutely zero plot string at all. I stuck with it out of bloody mindedness, but honestly, don't bother, this is a very very bad and very very un-erotic movie. I'm staggered at its awfulness, i truly am. Only put one star because minus 20 wasn't available. There is nothing 'deep', there are no 'messages', there are no 'metaphors for life', this is just one hugely hugely awful movie. An embarrasment to be honest.

Hmm....strange

Well, I would bother wasting your time on this one. It's wierd and the only reason I watched it till the end was hoping it would make some sense.

stares

sophy300 from , 12th October, 2009

This film has an interesting story idea but there is a distinct lack of dialogue or action. The film was let down by too much staring into space, walking around aimlessly and staccato dialogue. The dancing is good.

random oddness

MrBernard from , 12th June, 2009

The only way I can describe this film is odd and pointless. This isn't so much a movie as a random collection of unrelated events involving people that you don't give a stuff about doing things that real people don't do. I'll start with the lead character. Apparently he's a professional dancer. He certainly has the physique but dances like a twitching slug with one left foot. Already the suspension of disbelief is shattered. This continues throughout as the 'plot' takes ever more unlikely jumps. here's a run down. Boy dances with girl. Boy goes to buy fags. Boy disappears. Dance mentor enlists lover and ex cop to find him. Boy reappears. Boy goes wrong. Boy and girl break up. Turns out Boy was kidnapped and made into sex puppet of 3 bemasked ladies who chain him up, make him masturbate (a lot) and dance. Boy stops being dancer and gets job as a barkeep. Boy has lots of sex with randoms. Boy talks to random ugly girl who gives him her number and they forge 'normal relationship'. Dance mentor disagnosed with 'dying' disease. boy decides to resurrect dance career and takes new girl to lunch as they watch said dance mentor snog ex cop. Boy takes girl to club. Boy attacks different girl. Boy gets hug from ex cop. Film ends and brains dribble out of ears. THE END.
